The Tigers scored the lone goal of the match in the 25th minute, and led, 1-0, at halftime.
The Lady Vols are in the midst of a four-match winless streak. Tennessee has lost two consecutive games and are 0-2-2 in its last four games.
Auburn led, 1-0, after Dylan Driver scored with 24 minutes, 34 seconds into the match. Gracie Brown was credited with an assist on the goal.
The Tigers outshot the Lady Vols, 11-3. Auburn finished with three shots on goal, while zero Tennessee's shots landed on target. The Tigers recorded six shots in the first half, while Tennessee was held to one shot before halftime.
Goalkeeper Cayden Norris totaled two saves in the contest for Tennessee, which next plays on Oct. 9 at South Carolina. Kickoff between the Lady Vols and Gamecocks is slated for 7 p.m. EDT in Columbia, South Carolina.
