Dr. Wesley King left an American medical practice for the Ecuadorian Amazon and found children with nowhere to go. What he built there became an orphanage, and what it cost him is the story this film tells.

Based on true events. The Kings faced the opposition that tends to arrive when someone starts doing this kind of work: money, logistics, the reach of child trafficking into the communities they were serving, and stretches where the whole thing looked like it would collapse. The film follows them through the discouragement and out the other side.
