The story of David and Goliath is widely known. We learn it in Sunday School. We hear it referred to in our culture. Still, the lesson of the story gets distorted. Many assume that the story is an encouragement for us to successfully fight our "giants", but Dr. John points out that victory is not ours to win. Victory comes from a higher source than our own efforts. David remembered God's promise and recognized His presence. The battle is God's to win!
